We’re a technology holding company that seeds and develops emerging technologies and technology-enabled services.

We are entrepreneurs.

The principals of GEIG are entrepreneurs.  We’re just interested in a number of businesses.  As a result, we partner with other entrepreneurs, dedicated operators and engineers on concepts of their and/or our creation, and actively assist in developing, managing and marketing our shared products and ventures.

We are seed investors.

We’re not really angel investors, and we are far from venture capitalists.  We’re early-stage believers and business evangelists who help finance the development of prototypes and/or beta-stage launches of promising concepts. We’re pre-Series A, pre-angel round investors.  We are serial ‘co-founders’.

We are advisers.

We will occasionally serve as advisers to startups and early-stage companies in which we have not invested. We have diligenced and executed numerous private equity, venture capital and angel transactions on our own behalf and for larger institutions, and will at times assist startups in CFO capacities.  We have also acted as business development strategists and love to help first-time entrepreneurs navigate the steps involved with getting a technology developed and a company up and running.

We are consultants.

In some cases, we will work with more mature companies on specific strategic and business development initiatives.  Because of some intra-portfolio synergies, we’ve been particularly active and interested in conceiving, leading and/or consulting on online content generation, digitization and management initiatives for media companies and web publishers.
